In an increasingly competitive market, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies need even more expertise to ensure their innovations are adequately protected. Patents need to be enforceable and strong enough to deter and withstand attack.

With patents being drafted early on in the development process, great foresight is required to ensure that the patent application covers all eventualities and that provision is made for future filing strategies relating to the product - both in the U.S. and throughout the rest of the world.

This important and interactive workshop, led jointly by a strategist from the pharmaceutical industry and a technical specialist from private practice, will take attendees through the key matters that must be considered when building a patent portfolio. They will discuss, in depth, how to a) ensure your innovation is protected throughout its patent lifecycle and b) successfully make strategic decisions that will optimize where the product can be marketed and sold.

For all In-house Counsel and Private Practice Lawyers and all those who are involved in planning, drafting and filing patent applications related to pharmaceutical and biotechnology products, and medical devices.

Full documentation will be provided to all delegates and adequate time set aside for discussion between attendees and the workshop leaders.
