Vasilis Vasiliou, University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Denver, USA

Vasilis Vasiliou is Professor at the Health Sciences Center and Director of the Toxicology Graduate Program at the University of Colorado. He obtained his Ph.D. in Biochemical Pharmacology from the University of Ioannina, Greece and then carried out his postdoctoral training in Molecular Toxicology and Pharmacogenetics at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio. His research interests include cellular responses to oxidative stress induced by physical agents and the metabolism of both endogenous and foreign chemicals; functional and comparative genomics, genetic polymorphisms and ætiology of complex diseases and molecular evolution.
