Human Genomics
Global / site licences
The institutional rate for academic libraries includes campus-wide online access
via IP recognition. For all other institutions the institutional rate includes
free online access via a single username and password. Human Genomics can be
licensed for distribution either via institutional intranets or via the Internet.
The licence is flexible and can be tailored according to your requirements.
It is available to corporate and government/public libraries.
The benefits of global or site licences are:
- Accessibility – as many users
as required can access the journal, instantly, from their
desktops
- Searchability – authorised users
are able to find relevant material easily and quickly
- Cost-efficiency – the more users
authorised to access the journal, the lower the cost per
person
- Productivity – throughout the
organisation, knowledge is accessed, accumulated, disseminated
and applied simply and quickly, leaving your users with
more time and more energy for the things they do best.
Licence
conditions and options
Licence agreements vary according to access type (i.e.
via institutional intranets or the Internet) and by institution
type. There are three principal conditions that apply to
all licence agreements:
- Appropriate access controls by the licensee to guarantee
usage by only authorised users
- Acceptance of Henry Stewart Publications’ copyright
and replication rights
- Fixed annual fee based pro-rata on the number of users
who will have access to the current and back volumes required
Technical
summary
For intranet licences, journal papers are supplied as individual
PDF files. Depending on the platform and applications of
the host intranet, PDF documents can be stored and retrieved
using typical navigation menus and resident search engines.
For internet licences, access is through the online aggregator, www.ingenta.com
Pricing
Licence pricing is calculated independently from any existing
print subscription. For all institutions the price is based
on the number of users who will have access and the combination
of current and back volumes required. Typical fees range
from $75/£50 per employee down to $15/£10 per
employee, or less.
