Journal of Risk Management in Financial Institutions
Testimonials

"Since the prehistoric days of the 1980s, risk management has progressed explosively, particularly in financial institutions.  We have long been in need of a journal that focuses explicitly on the area, covering both methods and applications.  The Journal of Risk Management in Financial Institutions fills the void perfectly."

"I harbour very high expectations for a journal that is devoted to a broad and diverse range of disciplines in risk management, ranging from derivatives modelling to crisis management, business strategy, credit and market risk management, all the way to compliance and regulation. Risk management is not about individual silos of risks, but rather, it is a comprehensive view of managing risks across the enterprise and taking opportunities as they arise.  This new journal fills an important niche in the financial industry."

Progress in financial risk management emerges mainly from dialectical interplay between theory and practice.  For example, modern financial trading and asset management businesses depend critically on the analytics of asset pricing.  At the same time, these businesses have been a principal driver of theoretical innovation to relax overly simplified assumptions in classic models such as Black-Scholes and the CAPM.  As a forum in which academics and practitioners can share ideas and experiences, this journal can play a valuable role in catalyzing further advances in the field of risk management.
